The Miami Dolphins look to make some smart draft picks to help new head coach Mike McDaniel in his first year on the job.

It’s a new era of Miami Dolphins football with former San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel taking over as their head coach.

In the previous three years under former head coach Brian Flores, the Dolphins had performed well but never well enough to reach the knockout stages of the AFC. While reaching the knockout stages would be impressive for a first-time head coach like McDaniel, 2022 will be more important in giving the Miami team a strong identity. Now they will run the ball a lot.

This is the latest 2022 NFL Test Draft for the Dolphins. They have one pick in each round, as well as two picks in the fourth round and two picks in the fifth round, bringing their total picks to nine in the spring.

This was the Dolphins’ pick because of their multiple trades involving the 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles last season. Miami’s first pick this spring will be where the NFC runner-up 49ers will pick in 29th place overall. Although McDaniel is an offensive-minded head coach, he couldn’t let a game spoiler Jordan Davis in Georgia overtake them with this pick.

Davis is a 6-foot-6 and 340-pound man’s mountain. Despite his massive frame, he runs like an antelope and is completely out of place compared to any offensive interior. While he didn’t deliver crazy stats during his senior season at Georgia, the Americans were unanimous in bringing in Bednarik and Outland, as well as helping the Dawgs win their first national title since the year. 1980.

As for McDaniel wanting to foul correctly, you can’t get past a potentially transcendent defensive superstar at the end of the first round like Davis. The game has victory and defeat in the trenches. While Miami could look to improve its offensive line with this first-round late pick, no one will be eyeing if Davis falls on their lap and the Dolphins pick him.

Possessing a defensive player like Davis could keep Josh Allen, Mac Jones and Zach Wilson at the AFC East difficult for years to come. Miami Dolphins . 7-round test draft
