Melbourne CBD stabbing: Two people were stabbed in a CBD attack in Melbourne

A man and woman were stabbed and six others were threatened in Melbourne CBD.

Victoria Police say a woman stabbed a man to death at the junction of Flinders and Downie streets around 5pm on Thursday.

Shortly thereafter, the same woman stabbed another woman near the intersection of Flinders Street and Spencer Street.

Both the man and woman were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Six others, including four men and two women, were also threatened with a knife by the suspect in separate armed robberies in the area, police said.

You weren’t hurt.

The alleged attacker, a 28-year-old Morwell woman, was arrested by nearby police and is helping with the investigation.

A crime scene has been set up.
