Meet the Pokemon Scarlet Purple Rival, which you will trample mercilessly

The Pokémon Company stopped by today with a roughly 20-minute live stream detailing various details scarlet and violet Information including the rival you will face in both games.

During the live stream, The Pokémon Company whizzed through the various characters in the open world Pokemon scarlet and violet games. We already knew some of them, such as these are named Professors Sada and Turo the people thirsted for it. But others were new faces who weren’t given much, if any, screen time in the few trailers that have already been released. One of them is Trainer Nemona, a “battle-loving friend” with a sunny and energetic demeanor who will also guide you through your adventures. Apparently you too shit throwing pokeballs.

Not much more is currently known about Nemona. Aside from her outfit – a fairly basic school uniform – and the two strands of green in her hair, Nemona is a bit of a mystery. However, she’s not the only character you’ll encounter while navigating scarlet and violet. There’s Arven, an upper class who’s all about cooking and researching but is absolutely terrible at Poké Battles. Then there’s Grusha, the former pro snowboarder-turned-fitness leader who specializes in Ice-type Pokémon, but can’t contain his icy personality when it comes to heated battles. Finally, there’s Penny, a shy girl with a fondness for her fluffy Eevee bag who rarely shows up at school.

As well as revealing who your rival is, the live stream provided a few more details scarlet and violet. We learned that Legendaries in both games, um, Motorcycles you can ride. The open-world region of Paldea was also featured, giving us a glimpse of the vast terrain you’ll be exploring. There is also the new Tera Raid battle formatwhere you can team up with other trainers online to defeat terastalized wild Pokémon within a time limit.
