McCann’s family respond to false claims after DNA test results show a Polish woman is not their missing daughter

Parents of missing British girl Madeleine McCann have broken their silence after DNA test results revealed Polish girl Julia Faustyna was not their missing child.
Julia Faustyna’s story went viral when she claimed via her now-deleted Instagram account @iammadeleineccann that she was Madeleine, who disappeared at the age of three while on a family holiday in Portugal.
However, on Tuesday it was revealed that Faustyna was not the missing child.

The McCann family have since released a statement in response to the news.
“There is nothing to report at the moment,” said a spokesman for Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry McCann.
“If there is one, it will be from the Metropolitan Police.”
Faustyna spent several weeks in the US with private investigator and spokesperson Fia Johansson while awaiting the results of DNA and family ancestry tests.
But Johansson told Radar Online the 21-year-old was “absolutely 100 percent Polish”.
She confirmed the news via her Instagram page, writing the results showed “no connection to British or even German roots”.
“Although it’s impossible to say for sure without DNA results from parents on both sides, the test results speak to the origins of Julia’s root,” Johansson wrote.
“The test results show that she has 100 percent Polish heart.”
Johansson called Faustyna’s parents because they refused to take a DNA test.
“What is amazing is the refusal of (Julia’s) parents to resolve this nagging issue for Julia,” she wrote.
“A simple DNA test by (her) parents would have solved a lot of problems for Julia.”
Faustyna’s family have claimed their daughter is not the missing girl, instead attributing the claims to a combination of poor mental health and a lifelong desire to be in the public eye.
“It is obvious to us as a family that Julia is our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and stepdaughter,” they previously said.
“We have memories, we have photos.
“We always tried to help her back on her feet. Julia has been of legal age for several years. She has moved out, (she) refuses treatment, does not take medication regularly.
“The internet doesn’t forget and it’s obvious that Julia isn’t Maddie. We are shocked by the current situation.”
Ever since Johansson hooked up with the 21-year-old, she’s been adamant that Faustyna wasn’t making up the wild demands for attention and genuinely believed she could be Madeleine McCann.
“This story is much more complicated than a simple girl from a small town in Poland trying to attract attention,” she wrote on Instagram.
Johansson also revealed that Faustyna has now traveled back to Poland to live with her father.
“I personally wish her the best,” she wrote.
She also said the couple did an interview before leaving the US, in which Faustyna “broke down in tears over her past.”
“It’s a summary of our journey together and what we’ve learned,” she wrote.
It is unclear when this interview will be published.
Faustyna has said she has post-traumatic amnesia from being sexually abused by a pedophile as a child.
Despite the DNA results, Johansson believes the man who allegedly sexually abused Faustyna could be linked to the McCann case.
“Julia had all the birthmarks as Madeleine McCann, which I think is God and the Universe to want us to get close to the man who sexually abused her, expose him and his possible connections to the McCann case,” she told Radar online .
