Mazda 3 2023 price and specifications

The updated Mazda 3 lineup of hatchbacks and sedans was detailed ahead of its local launch in July.

The 2023 Mazda 3 The price range is between $1,610 and $2,310 more expensive, depending on the variant, while all manual and mild-hybrid options have been eliminated.

The Mazda 3 lineup now starts at $30,320 pre-road for the G20 Pure hatchback and sedan and goes up to $42,320 pre-road for the G25 Astina hatchback and sedan.

Despite the price hike, the flagship Mazda 3 G25 Astina is still cheaper than the now-discontinued X20 Astina, which was priced at $43,310 before launch.

The optional Vision Technology package is now $2,000 on the G20 Pure, G20 Evolve, G20 Touring and G25 Evolve SP, a $500 increase; The G25 GT costs the same as $1,500. The package is standard on the flagship G25 Astina.

This package currently includes features such as an all-around camera, cruising & traffic support, driver monitoring, front cross-traffic alert and front parking sensors.

Owners who opt for the Vision Technology package on the G20 Pure, G20 Evolve, G20 Touring and G25 Evolve SP will now also get a larger 10.25-inch Mazda Connect infotainment system, hence the higher $2,000 price tag .

This larger 10.25 inch screen already used on the CX-5, CX-8 And CX-9is standard on the G25 GT, hence the unchanged price of $1,500 for the Vision Technology package.

The larger screen is also standard on the flagship Mazda 3 G25 Astina.

In August last year The G25 GT’s 12-speaker Bose sound system was swapped out for an unbranded eight-speaker sound system due to component shortages. This update made this adjustment permanent.

Mazda 3 G20 models with the naturally aspirated 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine now get cylinder deactivation and “further improvements to the combustion process” that are said to reduce CO2 emissions without compromising performance or drivability.

The Japanese automaker claims that the fuel consumption of these G20 models has decreased by five percent, with the sedan reportedly consuming 5.9 l/100 km and the sedan 5.8 l/100 km.

The technology in the Mazda 3 vehicle has also been improved. G20 Touring and later models now feature wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless cell phone charging and USB-C ports.

Finally, the exterior color Ceramic Metallic replaces Sonic Silver in the model’s eight-tone color palette. Soul Red Crystal Metallic, Machine Gray Metallic, and Polymetal Gray Metallic are an additional $595.

It’s probably the related CX-30 Crossover will soon receive a similar set of updates for 2023.

The Mazda 3 G20 models are equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with an output of 114 kW and 200 Nm of torque.

The G25 models are equipped with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with 138 kW and 252 Nm.

All 2023 Mazda 3 models are now exclusively equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission, in which the drive is transmitted only to the front wheels.

Dimensions

The 2023 Mazda 3 sedan is 4660 mm long, 1440 mm high and 1795 mm wide with a wheelbase of 2725 mm.

The hatch is 4460 mm long and 1435 mm high, but has all other dimensions identical to the sedan.

The Mazda 3 has a trunk volume of 444 liters for the sedan and 295 liters for the hatchback. A space-saving spare wheel is located under the boot floor.

The Mazda 3 2023 comes with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty.
