“Maybe there could be something,” Becky Lynch tells FirstSportz about her conversation with Marvel for a possible MCU role

Former Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch faced Bianca Belair at Wrestlemania on Saturday and if it weren’t for Cody Rhodes, the match between these two women would definitely have been the match of the night. Although Becky lost, she and Bianca demolished the house. There had been talks between WWE’s most prolific woman, who had been in talks with Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Kevin Feige about a potential role in the MCU.

Becky Lynch is one of the most successful wrestlers on the WWE roster today. She, like her colleague Sasha Banks, wants to translate her wrestling fame into acting jobs in Hollywood and beyond. Big Time said so in a recent interview with ComicBook. Just days before opening up about her pregnancy, Becks revealed that she was in discussion with Marvel about a possible MCU role in 2020.

Becky adds that nothing concrete came out of the discussions at the time, or at least nothing that can be discussed openly. “Maybe there could be something in the future” she said. “Maybe, maybe… we’re not giving away any secrets here. We’re not giving away any Marvel secrets here.”

Becky Lynch has previously appeared in various productions for WWE’s motion picture division, including The Marine 6: Close Quarters and Rumble. In 2020, she had a cameo on Showtime’s Billions. Playing a superhero on screen, she will join fellow WWE veteran Batista, best known for playing Drax the Destroyer in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. In terms of female celebrity, she is on par with The Rock and John Cena, both of whom have had huge success beyond the square circle. When it comes to the present, however, the former women’s champion has nothing concrete about her debut in the MCU, but the door of possibility is said to always be open.
