Maryland will send 50 ventilators to non-profit treatment patients in Ukraine, Hogan says – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – The Maryland Department of Health is donating 50 portable ventilators to the Paul Chester Children’s Hope Foundation, a nonprofit that helps treat children and adults injured during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Governor Larry Hogan said Monday.
“The state of Maryland continues to stand in solidarity with President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people,” Hogan said. “We are proud to make this donation to help save lives and support Ukrainians in their fight against Russian aggression.”

The portable ventilators are expected to be shipped out of the US today and to hospitals in Ukraine later this week, Hogan’s office said.

“Donating medical equipment to help treat injured Ukrainians in this time of need is the least we can do,” said Maryland Health Minister Dennis Schrader.
