Maryland Taps Willard Leads Ladder Men’s Basketball Program – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Kevin Willard was appointed head coach of the University of Maryland men’s basketball program.
University of Maryland Athletic President Damon Evans announced the hiring of Willard with a tweet around 9 a.m. Monday.

“Terp Nation, join me in welcoming our new @TerrapinHoops Head Coach Kevin Willard!” Evans said, adding: “MARYLAND WILL WIN!”

Willard arrived in Maryland from Seton Hall, where he hit a 225-161 record in 12 seasons as head coach of the program.
