Maryland State Police launch homicide investigation on suspicion of street outrage shooting – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Maryland State Police detectives are investigating a roadside shooting that injured a tow truck driver on US 50th Street on Saturday, according to authorities.
The shooting stemmed from a verbal argument between the tractor driver and another driver at about 5:45 p.m. on the eastbound east side of 50th Street at Veterans Parkway in Prince George County, police said. .

According to authorities, the truck driver and another driver argued when he fired a bullet at the truck.
An ambulance took the truck driver to a local hospital.

Police do not believe that the truck driver and the gunman knew each other prior to the verbal argument.
US 50th Street was closed for several hours after the shooting, police said.
