ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) – Maryland has a new deadline for registering to vote and requesting a mail-in ballot, after the state’s highest court moved the state’s primary vote to July 19. state election announced Monday.
Linda Lamone announced that the deadline to register to vote is June 28. The new deadline to request a ballot by mail is July 12 for voters who wish to receive their ballots in the mail.

Early voting will start on July 7 and end on July 14, including Saturday and Sunday.

Lamone said in a press release that the state election board continues to work with the local election board to review any logistical issues that may arise as a result of the change to the election schedule. That includes the availability of early voting centers and Election Day polling places, as well as the recruitment of election judges for early voting and Election Day, and allocating necessary bag.
