Marvel’s Midnight Suns hit by second delay, no new date announced

2K announced it will be postponing the upcoming video game Marvel’s Midnight Suns again. 2K shared a message from the Midnight Suns development team on its social media pages explaining the reason for the delay so that the team can “provide the best possible experience for our fans.” The game was originally scheduled to release late in the previous fiscal year this March, but was pushed back to October. Now it’s being pushed back again to “later this fiscal year,” which ends in March 2023.

The news didn’t reveal a new release date for Midnight Suns. Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, discusses the delay in a call discussing the company’s earnings numbers. Take-Two is the parent company of 2K, the publisher of Midnight Suns. Zelnick reiterates that the delay is to make the game as good as the company can. Zelnick adds that he’s not worried about a third delay for the game, suggesting he’s confident the game will release before the end of the fiscal year.
