Marshawn Lynch arrested for drunk driving in Las Vegas

Former Seahawks and Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested Tuesday in Las Vegas and charged with drunk driving.

Known on the football field as “Beast Mode,” former Seattle Seahawks and Las Vegas running back Marshawn Lynch gave defensemen a headache.

However, on Tuesday, the longtime NFL star and Super Bowl champion was arrested in Las Vegas and charged with drunk driving. TMZ and Yahoo Sports reported that Lynch was pulled over and failed to take a breathalyzer test and was eventually sent to jail LVPD.

The unfortunate thing is that this isn’t the first time Lynch has been involved in a vehicle accident. In 2008, Lynch had his license revoked after a hit-and-run accident while playing with Buffalo Bills. A DUI arrest in 2012 linked to a reckless driving incident in 2014 also adds to the list.

Lynch, who retired from the NFL in 2019, has rushed for over 10,000 yards in his career and has one Super Bowl ring under his belt following the 2013 season with the Seahawks. He could have had another one, but a butler had something to say against it on the goal line.

Since leaving the NFL, Lynch has been involved with several organizations, including being a minority owner of the NHL’s Seattle Kraken. Additionally, Lynch has been considered for Amazon Prime Videos Thursday night soccer broadcast team.

Unfortunately for Lynch, based on what has emerged, those plans may be subject to change. What happens now remains to be seen as LVPD will provide more details on what will come after this incident and what the implications are.
