Nintendo has not revealed what most of them are Mario Kart 8‘s new courses will be, but players believe they already know thanks to some clues reportedly left behind in the latest DLC files. Dataminers say the latest update includes a slew of leftover music references that hint at what 14 of the remaining 32 courses will be.

“Nintendo then left song prefetches for many future DLC courses in Wave 2’s BGM.bars,” says dataminer Fishguy6564 wrote on Twitter on Thursday evening. The discovery, which appears to have been made by the Recordreader YouTube account, resulted in a list of music tracks linking to various courses from past games around the web Mario Kart Series that would presumably appear in future DLCs.

The full list is:

Combining this apparent new information with Fishguy’s previous datamining of the first wave of DLC resulted in a fairly thorough portrait of what types of courses could be coming in the future.

Many courses are from tripThe cell phone Mario Kart spin off. That’s not terrible news, considering that the MK8 Versions of many of these have been excellent so far. But players were quick to point out that if correct, this means there are only two more Nintendo DS tiers to come, and since one of those is Peach Gardens, not all fan favorites like Airship Fortress, Luigi’s Mansion and DK Summit will be revealed make it the cut.

Fans will have to wait a bit longer to see if these leaks are confirmed and how the rest of the question marks are filled. MK8The Booster Course Pass will add the remaining 32 new courses by the end of 2023. Mario Kart 8 Leak could have hints of future DLC courses
