Mariners Target Top Freelance Agents Beyond Kris Bryant

Kris Bryant isn’t the only free agent the Seattle Mariners are keeping an eye on, according to FanSided MLB insider Robert Murray.
NS Seattle Mariners made two notable moves this season by acquiring quarterback Adam Frazier from the San Diego Padres and signing AL Cy Young winner Robbie Ray to a five-year deal. Despite these two big moves, the team that is close to reaching the end of the season seems to be going full force into the 2022 season.
FanSided MLB insider Robert Murray reported earlier this week that the Mariners are interested in former Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants player Kris Bryant. But they don’t stop there, as Murray reported Tuesday that Seattle is also considering the Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story.

Story remains one of the top stops currently on the market, alongside Carlos Correa. Seattle’s rivals, the Texas Rangers, signed long-term contracts with both Marcus Semien and Corey Seager this week. The Detroit Tigers agreed terms with Javier Baez on a six-year deal on Tuesday.
Mariners have shortstop positions filled by JP Crawford. But where will Story play if he signs for Seattle? MLB network insider Jon Heyman tweeted out that the Mariners wanted Story to play the third facility, which was vacated after the team rejected a club selection of Kyle Seager.
The story dropped .251 / .329 / .471 while recording 24 home runs, 75 RBIs, 88 runs and 132 hits in 142 games this past season.
After almost doing post-production for the first time since 2011, the Mariners are working on making a harbor a reality by 2022. It’s proven by their moves to date and their interest. for both Bryant and Story.
