WWE is addressing more aggressive cases of COVID-19 among talent and employees after initial breakthrough coming out events last weekend.
PWinsider.com reported that additional talent and employees had positive results throughout Wednesday. Those people have yet to be identified. Several talents have been contacted so they can be vetted.
As of Wednesday afternoon, WWE still plans to continue with the post-Christmas tour. It was said that a lot of phone calls were made and “a lot of racing” as the company tried to stay ahead of the situation.
A source said the company is dealing with similar issues that Broadway and other sports leagues have dealt with in recent weeks due to the Omicron variant.
The hope is that wrestlers who have tested positive can be cleared in time for WWE Day 1’s pay-per-view event on January 1.
