Mania at midnight! Jake Paul Puts $500k Knockout Bonus On His Own Head

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Love him or hate him, Jake Paul is always ready to put money in his mouth.

Few social media celebrities want to make extra money by entering the boxing ring, but that’s the path Paul chose. While starting out battling fellow Internet stars, Paul has slowly progressed to professional athletes, and most recently he defeated a former UFC champion at Tyron Woodley.

Due to Tommy Fury’s injury, he will have the opportunity to do so again. The pair will be fighting again, and this time, Paul wants to make sure that there are no rumors of a “ban-knockout” clause.

“There’s this rumor around the ‘non-exclusion’ clause in my contract,” Paul said MMAJunkie. “Someone started it and others ran with it. Humans are like sheep. They believe everything they read or see and they follow the path that the crowd is walking.

“It is a completely untrue rumor. I’m going to jail for cheating on fights. That is illegal. We just want to quell that rumor immediately and from now on we will reward my opponent if they can take me down. We want to encourage them and prove to the media and the world that all these rumors are not true.”

Encouragement is a vague description. Fortunately, Paul’s advisor Nakisa Bidarian confirmed that there is language in Woodley’s contract that guarantees a substantial payout in the event of an overtime win.

“And to be clear, that’s the contract in Tyron’s deal,” Bidarian said. “There was a contractual agreement that if he beat or TKOs Jake, he would get a $500,000 bonus.”

Think that’s motivating enough for Woodley finally let his hand go?
