Mania at midnight! ‘Crazy’ Khamzat Chimaev calls Brock Lesnar, GSP and Daniel Cormier

Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Khamzat Chimaev was eager to fight. “Borz” Isn’t All That Far From Taking Out Li Jingliang At UFC 267 Back On Halloween (HIGHLIGHTS), but he chose a different “W” in a wrestling match with UFC middleweight Jack Hermansson. The Chechen athlete still wasn’t full, and he took to Twitter to call out an eerie group of arch-enemies.
First, Chimaev sets his sights on former UFC heavyweight champion and current WWE superstar Brock Lesnar… 100 lbs tall. heavier and massively incapable of ever fighting again.
Next, Chimaev called Georges St. Pierre, the most widely recognized Welterweight of all time. He’s hardly the first to do so, as Khabib Nurmagomedov and Kamaru Usman have also loudly asked for Canadian time as well in recent years. “GSP” chose to stay out instead of answering the champion’s call, so Chimaev’s response rate isn’t great, but we can’t hate Chimaev for shooting him.
Finally, Chimaev suggested a wrestling match with another former Heavyweight at Daniel Cormier. Unlike the other two former champions, the UFC commentator of color actually reacted … and didn’t seem to be completely opposed to the idea.
“In a real wrestling match? Are you crazy Khamzat? Love that you’re confident but brother this is 10-0 DC! ” Cormier replied in a Tweet. Maybe Chimaev could actually hold a match against the Olympian… as long as Cormier doesn’t have to introduce any kind of weight limit, a potentially deal-breaking factor for the retired legend .
Of course, there are also Welterweights actively looking to fight “Borz” inside the Octagon for real, Like this one.
Insomnia
Reminder: Jose Aldo plays damn ball too!
The UFC has booked an absolutely unbelievable bout between Arman Tsaurkyan and Joel Alvarez. Both fighters are extremely good, gaining momentum… and having trouble executing the Lightweight limit.
Ever since the 155ers refused to fight me, I’ve had to accept the fight against welterweight

Eddie Alvarez and Patricky Freire talking about some of Bellator’s tactics from Bellator’s Bjorn Rebney era on Twitter is quite an interesting one.
In fact, things are a little different. I saw you @Ealvarezfight in a UFC PPV side by side with Dana and the news that you’re leaving Bellator for the UFC. I sent an e-mail to Bjorn asking to fight you because otherwise I wouldn’t stand a chance. https://t.co/PiA8SMWuUQ

The first Bellator contracts were terrible. Since I’m about to lose in the first round of the LW tournament, my wallet will be 2500 + 2500. I tried to negotiate that. They tried to get me to sign an unlimited contract when they revealed @Ealvarezfight (cont’d) https://t.co/aaVizU5LKw
– Patricky Freire (@PatrickyPitbull) November 29, 2021
and the budget for the war against you is still relatively small @Ealvarezfight. I said I would not sign such an agreement. They submitted other offers but no change to auto-renewal. I said I wouldn’t sign it and I wouldn’t fight you for that wallet. Then (continued) https://t.co/8LRNVTC3lf
– Patricky Freire (@PatrickyPitbull) November 29, 2021
they say I will either fight you @Ealvarezfight for 2500+2500 because I don’t want to sign a bad new contract, or they will put me on the price until the contract expires. I was devastated then. That wallet was bad, but God knows how much worse it will be without the money. (cont’d) https://t.co/OSws37dHo9

I left that fight with less than $1700 after taxes. I was then pushed to renew my agreement to return in a Tournament. And amazing, I got a better deal (still not really good) than the last deal I was offered to fight you. @Ealvarezfight (cont’d) https://t.co/PTSzvuQCA3

I’m sorry to hear bro, this game is hard to navigate and has a lot of people willing to exploit the slightest weakness they see. You’re Champ now and you’ve earned it

I don’t often link whole articles, but this one about Teofimo Lopez’s state of mind prior to Saturday night’s loss is quite intriguing. Check it out!
Teofimo Lopez lost the lightweight title to George Kambosos Jr. on Saturday, but he is fighting tougher battles in himself and in his personal life.
A look at Lopez’s tortured state of mind is in the 24 hours before kick-off.

Some slight controversy online: Germaine de Randamie lost her rank today, but Holly Holm – who ended up fighting the same night as “Iron Lady” – remains in his place. Classic UFC!
Germaine de Randamie is still on the UFC roster and has many fights left, according to the source. She was dropped from the charts due to inactivity and no timeframe for her return.

Congratulations to Mike Perry on a tough and unlikely win over Michael Seals this weekend.
Flip, tear and KO clips
Lyoto Machida, the master of scanning.
Calf slicers definitely rank high among the pains caused by the process.
Kicking before the liver is also not fun.

Every once in a while, I make myself think I’m pretty brave, then see the real boldness in the clip below and realize it’s all a lie.
