Manchester United for sale: Who could afford to buy United?

The Manchester United takeover could be completed “very soon”, which will give heartening support to fans who have been longing for a Glazers departure for years. All is eerily quiet in the humble American’s trophy cabinet and it seems their 17-year kingdom at Old Trafford is drawing to a close.

United have had a shaky start to the 2022/23 season but Erik ten Hag seems to have stabilized his squad now as they are currently fourth in the Premier League.
As revealed by renowned and trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano, speaking on The United Stand’s YouTube channel, there are currently talks of a potential takeover:
“I was still told that talks were already underway. So I can’t say exactly the timing because honestly it depends on the club, the new group and all the talks, it’s about the lawyers.”

“It’s a really important process, but talks are ongoing. It’s not just that Manchester United is for sale and time to wait. conversations are ongoing. That’s for sure.” – said Romano.
Another journalist, David Ornstein, told fans: “Raine Bank, which is responsible for this process, is targeting a full sale of Manchester United in the first quarter of 2023. As such, the Glazer family will not be approving any massive cash spending on any offerings at this time of year.”

The Red Devils are likely to stay in power with the Glazers for the January transfer window as an agreement to buy a club is unlikely to be finalized in such a short timeframe.
United are fighting for a place in the Champions League so it seems sensible for Eric Ten Hag and his side to strengthen their squad during the January transfer window to increase their chances of a place in the top four.

The Champions League earnings due to come through the doors next season would no doubt be much more attractive to potential buyers, although the club’s reputation will help the Glazers sell the club regardless of their managerial role.
Speaking about a potential takeover, Eric Ten Hag told reporters: “I’ve been told there will only be good things, there will be more investment, so it’s good news”
In early 2021, the Premier League game between Manchester United and Liverpool was postponed after United fans managed to infiltrate Old Trafford to promote the Glazers’ decision to join the cursed European Super League.
David Beckham is “open to talks” about buying Manchester United, according to multiple reports on social media. Man UTD is for sale and many big money investors are interested in bringing Beckham on board as he may be a suitable partner.

David Beckham was particularly keen to buy his former team in hopes of doing great things with them again. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the name of Saudi King Salman are circulating as a potential candidate for the purchase of the “Theatre of Dreams”.
The positive sides of Sir Jim Ratcliffe:
– Wants to build the best club in the world
– Man Utd fan
– Has no “profits” to make
– Owns OGC Nice (Potential Feeder Club)
– Britain’s richest man ($13-28bn)We’ll have to build him a statue if his takeover attempt succeeds. pic.twitter.com/dF3rNHC8qH
