Manchester United fans have protested against the Glazer family, who own the club, ahead of their home Premier League game against Norwich City.
The Old Trafford protest was organized by a new group, The 1958.
Anti-Glaser banners were put up on the outskirts of Old Trafford while some protesters marched with signs and flares.
A small group of fans, including some from The 1958, had gathered at the club’s Carrington training ground on Friday – the day before the Norwich game – and also expressed their displeasure with the Glazers.
Police were called when about two dozen people gathered and displayed anti-glazer signs.
This isn’t the first time in recent memory that United fans have protested against the club’s owners. In April 2021, their home game against Liverpool was postponed after a large number of protesters made their way onto the pitch.
Outside Old Trafford, thousands of fans protested against the Glazers and the club’s involvement in the failed Super League.
Later that month, a banner reading ‘£2billion stolen #Glazers out’ was flown over Elland Road ahead of United’s league game against Leeds United.
United are seventh in the Premier League, six points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
