BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The Baltimore City Fire Department is investigating a deadly blaze that killed a man in northwest Baltimore Saturday night, fire officials said.
Firefighters responded to a report of a house on fire at the 2900 block of Ridgewood Avenue just after 8:30 p.m., firefighters said in a social media post.
Shortly after 8:30 a.m., FFs responded to a fire at 2900blk of Ridgewood Ave. because of a fire in a two story house. When FFs fought the fire, they rescued an adult man and took him to the hospital in serious condition. Shortly after arrival, the adult man was pronounced dead. pic.twitter.com/bw5axO03IO

They were fighting blazes and gaining access to the house when they found a man who needed medical attention, a BCFD spokesman said.

Paramedics took the man to a local hospital. According to the fire department, he was in “serious condition” during transport.
