Man killed in house fire in northwest Baltimore – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The Baltimore City Fire Department is investigating a deadly blaze that killed a man in northwest Baltimore Saturday night, fire officials said.

Firefighters responded to a report of a house on fire at the 2900 block of Ridgewood Avenue just after 8:30 p.m., firefighters said in a social media post.

They were fighting blazes and gaining access to the house when they found a man who needed medical attention, a BCFD spokesman said.

Paramedics took the man to a local hospital. According to the fire department, he was in “serious condition” during transport.

The man was pronounced dead after his arrival at the hospital, the fire department said.
