Man City’s top-flight lawyer is set to be paid the same as Kevin De Bruyne if they launch a lawsuit against the Premier League for breaching FFP rules

Manchester City have been charged with breaching more than 100 allegations after breaching the Premier League’s rules of conduct and fair play.

The Premier League has made a formal complaint against the holders after a four-year investigation and there will be a panel of committees that will hear both parties and deliver a verdict.

Man City have confirmed a new defender who will be paid £10,000 an hour. This sponsorship will last until they pay their PL dues.

Lord Pannick KC – hired to defend Man City against the PL – normally charges around £5,000 an hour but has been known to charge up to £10,000. At the top end of the process comes when he works full-time, Pannick could be paid £80,000 a day or £400,000 a week.

Lord Pannick KC, also known as David Pannick, is a British barrister and a cross-bench life peer in the House of Lords. He is recognized as one of the leading public law and human rights lawyers in the UK and has worked on many high profile cases in the UK courts, including the Supreme Court.

The British lawyer could earn the same as Kevin De Bruyne per week while defending Man City. At £5,000 an hour he would still make more than all but seven squad players.

Lord Pannick is a prolific writer and commentator on legal and constitutional matters and is frequently called upon to provide expert opinion in the media. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1988 and promoted to life peerage in 2015.

Man City believed Pannick was the man who could secure them the earned equity they are looking for and were willing to offer him what he wants in exchange for that escape.

The city hierarchy is determined to go to whatever level they can if they are not given a suitable outcome after stating that if justice was not served them and Lord KC theirs they would take the case to the High Court track will follow.
