Man City’s Jack Grealish, Atletico’s Stefan Savic fight in tunnel after UCL game

Manchester City’s Jack Grealish and Atletico Madrid’s Stefan Savic were heated in both legs of the UCL quarter but boiled over in the tunnel.

Whenever you step into the later stages of a competition like the Champions League, you will see emotions take over from time to time. That’s certainly what Manchester City man Jack Grealish and one of his Atletico Madrid opponents on Wednesday, Stefan Savic, will argue after the game – or, well, after the post-game shenanigans.

After a heated 0-0 draw that saw City reach the UCL semi-finals, spirits erupted on both sides.

However, after a heated verbal argument on the sidelines between Grealish and Savic, tensions spilled into the tunnel and a “physical altercation” ensued, with police having to help separate the two players.

Because the football gods are merciful, we at least have some video footage of the fight in the tunnel, with Grealish and Savic screaming back and forth, teammates try to separate them, and then the police run to separate them after they’ve undressed Frame.

Rumors on social media suggest that Grealish and Savic attempted to head butt each other, prompting police intervention in the tunnel.

How it came about might have something to do with A. Atletico suffering a heavy home defeat overall thanks to Wednesday’s draw and B. Grealish getting his hair pulled several times during the game in which Savic was involved.

Still, it seems to have been an ugly scene in Madrid after Manchester City’s win. But if you go back and watch the video of the altercation, it seems like Grealish was having a great time.
