Man charged with the murder of a Hobart resident who was found with serious head injuries

A man has been charged with the murder of a 51-year-old man in Hobart.

The alleged victim was found with blunt force trauma to the head in a house on Liverpool Street in Glenorchy on Tuesday.

He was immediately taken to the hospital but died on Wednesday.

A 52-year-old from Hobart has been charged with murder and was due to appear in court on Wednesday.

Police claim the couple knew each other and have asked anyone with information about what happened to come forward.
