Tadros, 10, was fighting for his life after the helicopter crash that killed his mother and three others on the Gold Coast on Monday January 2nd.

“Nicholas may need his right foot amputated,” Bakhos wrote online.

“Nicholas will need all your prayers over the next few weeks before the surgeons try again.

Heartbreakingly, Bakohs revealed that Tadros is still unaware that his mother was killed in the crash.

He urged the congregation to pray for Tadros’ father, Simon Tadros, “to see him through this difficult time.”

“He will need to face Nicholas in the coming days to let him know that his mother has been assumed into heaven and also to let him know that he may lose a foot which will be a major blow to Nicholas’ mental state ‘ Bakhos said.

Tadros’ mother Vanessa Tadros, 36, was given her farewell in a ceremony at Saint John the Beloved in Mount Druitt on Monday.

Husband Simon Tadros’ eulogy was punctuated by silence as he held back tears alongside hundreds of mourners at the Maronite Catholic Church in western Sydney.

“Vanessa was a special person. Her smile was contagious…she had a pure heart…every day we grew stronger together. She was our protector,” he told the congregation.

“To my beautiful wife, I will always love you no matter what challenges we face. I know that you will always be with me. Rest in peace, beautiful one.”

Amidst the agony of saying goodbye to his wife of 12 years, Tadros found space for ease.

“If you knew my wife she would call me rude if I didn’t thank everyone so thank you for coming.”

British couple Ron and Diane Hughes and pilot Ashley Jenkinson also died in the crash.

Jenkinson’s funeral was held on Friday January 13th on the Gold Coast.

Air Transport Safety Bureau investigators are not expected to complete their investigation into the accident until September 2024.
