Maino recalls Keyshia Cole throwing lemons at him after he lied in a song about having a sexual encounter with her

Maino recently revealed in an interview with Math Hoffa how lying on a record can have physical consequences. That admission was in reference to a line the rapper had talked about Keyshia Cole in an unknown song.

In the track, Maino lied about having a sexual encounter with the singer. During the Aug. 1 discussion, the “All the Above” host opened up about his past feud with Keyshia and how she checked him out after the record’s release.

Although Maino did not reveal the exact timing of this incident, at point 6:46 of the interview, when asked about the drama between them, he said, “I paid for that line.” Maino went on to say that the sexual one encounter never took place. He added, “That never happened … I put my mouth to it right there.”

Continuing the conversation, Maino shared that during a night out at an establishment formerly known as Sony Studios, he was informed that Keyshia and rapper Remy Ma were looking for him.

Although the women tried to address the situation with Maino, Keyshia only met him face to face later that night at another club called Ruby Falls after she started throwing lemons at him. Maino said that while he felt like lemons were being thrown at him, he wasn’t sure who threw them.

“They had a DJ booth up in the sky like it was a DJ booth up there. And I was in there that same night. S-t flies down on me… S-t falls down on me, n-a. This time I was quite active in the club. If I put ns in a coma over there, i.e. st flies, I’m like, ‘Who the hell is playing with me like that?!’ I look I’m like, oh, someone throwing lemons. Who the hell is throwing lemons at me?!’ “

When Maino went upstairs to the DJ booth to confront the person, he was met by an angry Keyshia Cole. He said, “She said, ‘Yeah n–a, that’s me!’ “

When the show’s co-hosts started laughing after the reveal, Maino said Keyshia was upset because she was in a relationship at the time. “She’s like, ‘Yeah, n-a! What the hell is wrong with you? I have a-a and you say ‘st’ on records and all that and you don’t even know I’m a real bra!’ I said, ‘Yo.’ I laughed.”

Maino ended the clip by saying that he and Keyshia happened to fix things after she examined him. He said: “I got so much respect from her because we got insanely cool after that. She examined me. She examined me right there and then.”

As Maino’s comments circulated online, many fans agreed with Keyshia’s actions.

“Don’t play with my girl Keyshia.”

“You’re all laughing and yes I’m glad Keyshia threw those lemons at him but I’m stuck in the fact that as a grown man you lied about having an encounter with a woman who is so weird. “
