In case you are not yet feeling old when you find out that they have combined It’s a 90 . program – a comedy about oh so many years ago this is a ball we’re throwing at you: Macaulay Culkin he’s 40. Actually he’s 41 now, but famous tweets in which he told everyone about the big 4-0 beating was what stopped us on our way. But instead of quietly going through this, the actor decided to share his feelings with the world with a brand new series called The Midlife Crisis of Macaulay Culkin.
The idea of the series was to take Culkin on a wild journey around the world to find out what it means to reach this age in life between different cultures, while also taking some of the stuff out. his bucket list in the process. Some of the questions Culkin is researching to find answers to (or some answers) are questions most of us have asked ourselves at some point, such as how should we age in a youth-obsessed society? What is success in middle age and how do we measure it? How do we ensure that unrelenting passion does not become a relic of youth? Where do we have lunch today?
Culkin is currently working with production company Lightbox on the project. The company that previously developed Discovery + of Curse of the Chippendales and HBO’s Tina. At the announcement, Culkin joked about receiving a sour reminder of his age and mocked the idea of The Midlife Crisis of Macaulay Culkin:
“Well, Lightbox. Thanks for reminding me that I’m in my 40s. Well, instead of making a big deal out of it, I think we should do an introduction to it. Meaningful.”
When it comes to this new series, Jonathan and Simon ChinnLightbox’s co-founders shared the relative feeling they wanted to bring to the project and revealed that they’re excited to move forward:
“Mack [Macaulay’s nickname] remains as iconic and beloved as ever – a social media sensation, internet entrepreneur and hard-working member of his pizza-themed Velvet Underground tribute band. Despite his legendary status, like the rest of us, he faces becoming an ordinary middle-aged man, with a new wife and child soon his age. when he became a global superstar. . We are delighted to be working with him through these mid-life crises in this exciting project.”
Culkin became a global superstar after starring in 1990 Home alone, a family drama about a small child who is left behind when his extended family goes on a trip for Christmas. Culkin has spoken openly about how the role guaranteed him an early retirement and gave him the privilege of only working on projects he really wanted to be in, like his cover band. and several films from the past few decades. He is the host of Bunny Years podcast, in which he interviews several celebrities and talks about his experience of being a child star.
