If Marvel decides to expand the world of Wakanda, Lupita Nyong’o knows exactly who to join the all-star cast of Black Panther.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters on November 11th. The film came four years after the first part, Black Panther, which sent Marvel fans into ecstasy in 2018.
In its opening weekend, the sequel grossed $330 million at the worldwide box office; Domestically, it didn’t disappoint, grossing $180 million. The major US premiere made it the highest-grossing film with a November release; it dethroned Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which grossed $158 million.
While it’s still too early to know if a third installment is in the pipeline, Nyong’o is certain that Idris Elba would be the perfect addition to the franchise. In an “E!” In the interview, she revealed the British-raised actor as her choice to join her and her castmates Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright and several others.
When asked why Elba is her choice, she said: “Why not? Idris should be in everything.” In 2011, Elba earned his Marvel stripes when he portrayed Heimdall in Thor. He repeated the role in the following films: Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, where he was killed, and then again in Thor: Ragnarok and Thor : Love and Thunder,” where he appeared in post-credit scenes.
The Harder They Fall star has been a popular choice among fans to succeed Daniel Craig in the James Bond franchise. Although fans have clamored for Elba to portray the easy-going agent, he previously said it just wasn’t out of the question.
“I don’t think playing Bond will fulfill some of my personal goals,” he said during his appearance on The Shop. He continued: “It will definitely gratify the will of a nation. i won’t lie Every corner of the world I visit… they always say, ‘Bond.’ And I feel like it’s beyond my limits at this point.”
His British actor colleague John Boyega recently spoke about the chances that there will be a Black James Bond. The agent has never been portrayed by a black actor, so the casting decision would come as a surprise if Elba or another fan-favorite actor, Regé-Jean Page, landed the role.
“Even the mention of a black bond to me is like, ‘Oh, OK.’ I’m just here and I’m like, ‘OK, I don’t necessarily believe that, but if they do, then ok,'” Boyega said. He added: “It surprises me a lot, but as an actor you kind of stay out of that conversation. If it’s for you, then maybe then. But if not, then you enjoy it in the cinema like everyone else.”
