“Luck will change,” Mick Schumacher hopes for a goal in Silverstone after an unfortunate Canadian GP » FirstSportz

Mick Schumacher achieved his best qualifying result in Montreal, Canada after more than a year in F1; a P6, with his teammate Kevin Magnussen in P5. Everyone had extremely high hopes for Schumacher to score his first ever points in the sport and he fought really stably with Zhou Guanyu, another F1 rookie. Everything was going well for the German until his car had a technical defect and had to retire from the race early. This was a heartbreak for Mick’s fans and the team.

Mick is a former F2 champion but his luck in F1 has not yet shone as he was signed for Haas in 2021, the team that scored 0 and even now with plenty of development all his scoring opportunities are falling from his cluster. But one thing that can be noticed and appreciated is his improvement per race. He fought for 18 good laps in the race and then faced the problem. He said he was frustrated by the incident but still hadn’t lost hope of scoring his first F1 points soon.

Mick Schumacher hasn’t given up hope yet
Schumacher is still very hopeful of scoring points; “Hopefully luck will change at some point. So yeah, it’s obviously tough, but I’ve had those seasons in the past and we still managed to get there. So yes, we still have a few races to go.” Motorsport quotes the German.
He also explained that while the entire event that happened is frustrating, it is a part of F1 where everything is on the edge. As the son of legend Michael Schumacher, Mick certainly has the talent to be at the top of the sport as he showed by winning the 2020 F2 Championship, he just needs a better start now.
