LSU Football Sniper New Defense Coordinator From Kansas City Chiefs Staff

Brian Kelly is working to carefully build up his LSU football coaching staff and is inviting assistant Kansas City Chiefs Matt House as the Tigers’ new defensive coordinator.

When building a coaching team, it is never difficult to hire someone who has been working on a successful and growing team. So it makes sense that someone like Brian Kelly, the new head coach of the LSU Tigers, might be interested in building Football LSU Coaching staff with someone from one of the best teams in the NFL.

The Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the most successful franchises in the NFL in recent seasons, and they have some excellent coaches on their staff. Hiring someone from that staff would be a great move.

Kelly believes Matt House, the quarterback coach for Kansas City, is the right man to be defense coordinator in Baton Rouge.

This type of hiring has the potential to be a really good job for the Tigers. House is an experienced coach and has served as a defensive coordinator at the college level before. From 2013-2014, House served in that role for the Pittsburgh Panthers. He is also defensive coordinator for the FIU Panthers and Kentucky Wildcats.

Now a member of Andy Reid’s staff in Kansas City, House has gained some valuable experience with the well-run NFL franchise. Going back to college coaching will be an exciting thing, but House will be able to succeed.
