Lost Ark is preparing a rubber duck bopping event tomorrow for its first birthday

Lost Ark is gearing up for its first birthday tomorrow with a powerful update whose patch notes just went live. As promised, Amazon and Smilegate are introducing the new Sylmael-encrusted continent called Rowen, aimed at people at item level 1445, and the teams have toned down the Caliligos Guardian raid.

As for the anniversary itself, you’ll collect birthday cards for rewards, snag login rewards and a new title, hang out at the hot springs, and hit people with duck mallets to collect rubber ducks (we’re not making this up). .

“The Hot Spring Event includes a daily play where Lost Ark cards can be earned for the Anniversary Event. Interacting with the Hot Spring Manager NPC in any major city will guide you through the ‘[Event] The Hot Springs thank you event starts with the quest. Upon completion, the Steaming Hot Spring will be open for a contest at even hours (12:00, 14:00, etc.). The competition pits two teams armed with duck hammers against each other vying to collect the rubber duckies. Break the shield of the other team’s Duck Toy with your hammer to get the Duck Toy buff. Keep the buff and make it to your team’s finish line to earn points. Protect your teammates who have the duck toy buff or stop the opposing team’s buff to prevent them from getting points. Even if you lose significantly, don’t give up! You can destroy the enemy team’s duck coop (where they keep their duck toys) for a lot of points, but remember you must also stop the enemy team from destroying your team’s duck coop.
