Location of the abandoned garbage dump in Fallout 76

The Abandoned Waste Dump is one of the more hidden areas to discover as you wander the Fallout 76 wasteland. Deep in the darkest corners of Appalachia you’ll find this place, but don’t think it’s safe. Inside you’ll find some deadly beasts and lots of radiation. Make sure you’re prepared before entering the Abandoned Waste Dump or you won’t get out alive.

If you’re on the hunt for the Abandoned Waste Dump, make sure you’re well prepared. This area is meant to be visited later in the game, so win a few levels before looking for it. To reach this area you have to travel to the region called The Mire via the map. This is the easternmost region on the map.

The Abandoned Waste Dump is located near the Southern Belle Motel along the road that runs through the region from north to south. The entrance to the Abandoned Waste Dump is hidden in some rocks hidden behind a tanker truck.

What to do in the abandoned landfill?

The Abandoned Waste Dump consists of two parts. The first part is a cave that houses some deathclaws. There will always be at least two deathclaws in this cave, so stay alert. These deathclaws drop various items such as deathclaw meat, scrap metal, ammo, and sometimes weapons.

The second part of the Abandoned Waste Dump is a bunker that belonged to Sam Blackwell before the bombs fell. You’ll find the elevator that leads to the bunk in the back of the cave by some radioactive waste. You cannot use the elevator until you complete the mission called Bunker Buster. After completing this mission, you can use the elevator at any time. The bunker contains many junk items that you can scrap for crafting materials.
