Lizzo breaks down in tears during Melbourne’s Special Tour show

Pop queen Lizzo broke down in tears during a concert in Melbourne on Tuesday night after she was visibly overwhelmed by the love of her audience.
Expressing her emotions during the Special Tour show found support from her fan base, who banded together to express sentiment online.

Footage of the moment, captured by a viewer and posted to Twitter, shows the star gazing at an applauding audience, waving and forming the words “thank you” while wiping tears from her face.
She then shrugged it off and told the audience, “But I’m a gangster.”
Lizzo, who is known for preaching self-love and acceptance on stage, later re-tweeted the footage with an explanation for the waterworks.
“I’ve had a rough day… and you guys really made me feel loved. Thanks,” she wrote.
Fans rallied behind the star in the comments section of the post, which garnered more than 650,000 views in less than 24 hours.
“This is gonna make me cry,” wrote one fan.
“Your kindness, energy, positivity and music always make us feel loved when we’re having a rough day,” wrote another.
“You make us feel loved,” wrote another.

It’s not the first time an emotional performance by Lizzo has touched her audience. Her habit of bringing young girls on stage to get to know them is known to drive audiences insane.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a picture of one of those special moments with the caption, “Everything I do is for YOU.”
A fan who attended the concert said the moment made her cry.
“This moment brought me to tears, it was amazing to witness,” she wrote.
“In that moment, the little girl saw herself in you and vice versa,” noted another.
The mother of the young girl who hugged Lizzo on stage later thanked the pop star on Instagram.
“This is my daughter,” she wrote. “Thanks very much.
“That’s all she can talk about.”
