Live Stream: News Corp signs deal to present Victoria Netball League (VNL) on KommunityTV

The Victoria Netball League (VNL) will be broadcast live on KommunityTV until the end of the 2025 season – and what a game we have to celebrate the new deal. See when your team shows up.

The delicious Grand Finals rematch between City West Falcons and Geelong Cougars is upon us after News Corp and Netball Victoria inked a landmark three-year deal to broadcast LIVE STREAM Victoria Netball League (VNL) games on KommunityTV.

The Falcons racked up two mighty Finals victories against Geelong last year and their rivalry is the ideal way to start a big season.

Coverage includes three games per week – U19, Division One and Championship – from a specific game of the round.

The Falcons, who beat Geelong by two goals in last year’s thrilling championship decision, have the honor of opening coverage not only on Sunday, March 19, but also on Wednesday, July 18 in LIVE STREAM to be in the finals against Casey Demons.

Netball Victoria Performance Competitions Manager Stacey O’Neill was thrilled to be working with KommunityTV for the second year running.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with KommunityTV and bring VNL 2023 and beyond to new audiences,” she said.

“As the state’s premier netball competition and a crucial step in the Victorian journey, we know there is a keen interest across Victoria to see the talent that can be seen in VNL.

“This partnership will help us continue to grow the competition’s profile and viewership.”

News Sports Network Managing Director Michael Wilkins says the opportunity to work with Netball Victoria was exciting.

“CommunityTV has built a strong portfolio of netball coverage over the past 12 months and the Victorian Netball League has been at the forefront of that growth,” he said.

“Our coverage of the VNL last year was one of the first partnerships signed by KommunityTV for the full season and we are delighted to be back in touch with the Netball Victoria team.

“It is very fitting to be able to announce this renewed deal following International Women’s Day and the success of Insight Sport, News Corp Australia’s first women’s and gender-biased sports series.

“Our streaming partnership will not only feature the best open-age netballers in Victoria, but also the young athletes seeking an opportunity to join the elite ranks of Suncorp Super Netball.”
