Have you seen the latest sound Live-action movie and you’re like, ‘That’s cool and all, but what about a movie like this but with Pac-Man from the Pac Man video game franchise?!” Well, first of all, you have a weird brain. Second, I have good news for you as it has been reported that the world is actually getting some live action Pac Man Movie. Hooray?

As reported today for the first time by The Hollywood ReporterWayfarer Studios is partnering with Lightbeam Entertainment and Pac Man owner Bandai Namco to develop a live-action film based on the popular character who first appeared via the 1980 arcade smash hit, Pac Man. The arcade game became a pop culture phenomenon, which led to numerous sequels, spin-offs, TV shows and more. It also inspired a groovy track by Jerry Buckner & Gary Garcia called “Pac-Man fever.

According to that Hollywood reporter, the film will be based on a new, original story by Chuck Williams. Although you might not recognize the name, Williams makes sense for this project as he has previously worked as a producer Paramount and Sega Sonic the Hedgehog Live Action Strip. The film is currently untitled and neither Bandai Namco nor Bandai Namco has shared a release date or other information about it walker.

Let’s take bets on what the story will be. I guess Stepping out of the old arcade game, Pac-Man somehow finds himself in the real world and now has to deal with being an old video game character in our wild modern world. I assume crazy things will happen. The trailer features a pop song by Imagine Dragons. It will bring in $260 million and everyone involved will start saying things like “The Pac Man movie universe” seriously in interviews.

I’m kidding, but considering how popular this has been recently sound follow-up film was and how good the first one was, I think I can nearly see the logic in making a Pac Man Movie. However, I can’t really see the logic in some other projects in the works, corresponding diversity, including a film based on the card game Uno and Matchbox cars. What kind of world do we live in… Live Action Pac Mac is Hollywood’s latest bad idea
