Micah Lussier is moving on and starting the next chapter in her life. After the finale, she took to Instagram to speak out about the online bullying she and her friends faced.
“I want to acknowledge that while there has been a lot of love and support over the past few weeks, there has also been a lot of negativity on social media,” she wrote. “And I feel like I have to say this…Please leave the stares out of it. Everyone has the right to their opinion and I want everyone to have the opportunity to express their opinion, but a line has been crossed – and I’m not the one who suffers because of it.”
Although Lussier wasn’t clear about what or who she was talking about, she continued, “I have received so many heartbreaking messages from people who have been negatively affected by the hateful comments they have seen on my posts (and those of other cast members). .” . While I may have willingly thrown myself into the public eye and can endure the backlash, other people have not made that decision.”
She concluded: “Remember that the opinions of others do not determine who you are. You’re beautiful. Let’s celebrate our differences. They make us who we are.”
