LeBron James cites Tom Brady’s contract as the reason he would pursue a media career
Along with Brady’s big deal, James cites his knowledge of the sport and a desire to stay in the game during his retirement as reasons he would consider making the leap into the media world.
Months after Brady returned to the NFL, the big news broke that he would sign a 10-year, $375 million deal as a top analyst at FOX once he officially decided to wear his cleats, this time for real to hang the nail. The move comes amid the restructuring of the NFL broadcast after Troy Aikman and Joe Buck left FOX for ESPN.
James is entering the final year of his contract with the Lakers, where he will be 38 years old. LeBron has said in regards to the retirement that he would like to play on the same team as his eldest son Bronny before officially calling it a career.
Will LeBron be the latest athlete to make the leap as spokesperson? We’re probably several years away from finding out.
