Leaker reveals even more details about Dragon Age: Dreadwolf including gameplay, enemies, graphics and more

Fans who’ve wallowed in the shallow Dragon Age: Dreadwolf development news since its announcement might have just thrown a few scraps. Someone on Reddit has been leaking a bunch of new information about the title from alleged alpha development footage. Even more surprisingly, this supposed footage also surfaced online at the same time. All of this new information gives avid fans of the franchise their first look at potential gameplay, combat, and visuals for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.

The Reddit discussion in question goes into great detail about what the testers experienced during their time with the game. While the footage was removed, others in the thread re-uploaded it later in the discussion. It’s important to note that the images and details are all from the early Alpha and the game has likely changed a lot in the time since this footage was recorded. The leaker states that much of the game was missing textures and elements during the alpha.

The character describes 20 minutes of gameplay in which the player character tackles a portion of the game involving a Gray Warden stronghold in Weisshaupt. The main enemies are a variety of darkspawn units, and the player controls an elven “knight” Gray Warden class. Of course, in typical Dragon Age fashion, a dragon crashes the party during this portion of gameplay, but there’s no footage of that happening.

Combat is indeed Hack and Slash, but is described as inspired by God of War (2018) and bears no resemblance to Final Fantasy XV as previously reported. The battle wheel and UI are similar to Dragon Age: Inquisition, and players are given limited control over their companions. The general flow of skills includes regular combos, as well as a special bar that eventually allows the use of special moves. Jumping enthusiasts will be pleased to know that it remains a feature in Dreadwolf.

While Bioware is unlikely to be happy that potential footage of the game has been leaked before they are ready to show it, fans will absorb this and hold on until the company is ready to reveal what they find inside have created the time since Alpha.
