Leaders get huge COVID testing update, but still not out of the woods

Kansas City police chiefs have been struggling with COVID cases lately, but new updates suggest the team may be on the mend.

NFL’s List of COVID is growing by the day this December, with Dalvin Cook being one of the bigger stars to join the roster before the weekend.

Twelve NFL teams made adjustments to their COVID/injury lists on December 23, including the addition of Dalvin Cook of the Vikings, the addition of Kendall Lamm of the Titans and the addition of Mailk Hooker of the Cowboys.

Fortunately for the Chiefs, it looks like the spread of the virus has been limited for the past two days. Ian Rapoport reported that there were no new cases for Chiefs in the past two days.

Chiefs see no new COVID cases as team recovers from major COVID hit

Although the team has not seen any new cases in the past two days, the team is still reeling with recent diagnosis in the past ten days.

It is likely that Tireek Hill will be on the field for the December 26 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers after he picks up a positive result on Tuesday. Kicker Harrison Butker received a positive result on Monday.

Perhaps the biggest blow to the team came when Travis Kelce was placed on the COVID list on Monday.

While these players have been included in this week’s roster, it’s still unclear exactly when they’ll be back. As Patrick Allen notes, Charvarius Ward isn’t currently on the COVID list, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Kelce won’t be on the list ahead of Sunday’s game either. It all depends on when players get COVID, which only adds to the confusion and confusion caused by the recent NFL COVID outbreak.

Chief fans remain optimistic that Kelce and Hill can return before Sunday, as it is theoretically possible. The next few days will clarify whether or not they can remove the listing.

While the postponement may bring better news for the Chiefs, their limited outbreak could mean their Sunday game won’t be as pushed as some of the Week 15 games.

While the Chiefs may not have Kelce and Hill, the good news is that the spread seems to be limited – meaning Patrick Mahomes will still start on Sunday.
