Lauren Boebert Didn’t Know She Could Attend SOTU’s Speech

Answer. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has apparently been left in the dark about who is and isn’t allowed to attend this year’s State of the Union speech.

Boebert joined Jesse Watters Rush Hour Friday night, and apparently unaware that she and every other member of Congress could attend the annual speech inside the chamber of the House of Representatives on the United States Capitol.

First term female congressman to host Jesse Wattersand start with the fence against the masked people.

“These forever masked people, Jesse, don’t follow science,” insisted Boebert. “They are following a cult. And it’s called Branch Covidians. Their leader was Fauci, and they both drank Kool-Aid. ”

“What is Nancy doing in Congress now?” Watters asked. “You know, Biden got this big Union State. Will we be able to see your face? I want to be able to see Bernie fast asleep.”

Watters noted that Washington, DC no longer regulates face masks indoors.

Boebert stated: “All quests are reduced in DC, except at homestays. “And, in fact, Jesse, you won’t see my face, with or without a mask, in a homestay because only 25 members of each Congressional body are allowed to join the State of the Union.

“Really?” Watters asked.

“Yes,” she replied. “This is the general address of Congress and only 25 members from each body will be able to attend. I’m just curious to see which 25 are trampling on each open to go see Joe Biden stumble and Jill escort him out of dais.

Lawmakers, their families, Supreme Court justices and President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris All can attend next month’s speech – as can members of Biden’s cabinet, minus one designated survivor.

Earlier this month there were rumors that the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi will limit the number of legislators who can attend this year’s speech.

Axios report on February 1 that the Minority Leader in the House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy was disappointed by the possibility that only 25 members from each side were allowed to attend.

But rumors about shrinking the annual speech from the president have proven untrue.

NPR report Biden will tackle a full room:

All members of Congress have been invited to watch President Biden’s upcoming State of the Union address live – a marked departure from his speech to Congress last year, in which the Seating capacity is limited to about 20% as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Attendees will be required to wear an N95 or KN95 mask and test negative for Covid.
