The search for the missing man ended with two arrests. Melvin Ray WilcoxAccording to delegates in Orange County, Florida, 39 years old, died in the trunk of his car. Now Lawawn Triplett43 years old, who is the mother of his child, and Johnny Wesley, 42 years old, his friend, was charged with first degree murder with a firearm. Both are incarcerated at the Orange County Jail as of Sunday.

Deputies initially announced Friday that Wilcox was missing, last seen in the local community in Pine Hills.

Wilcox ran into both Triplett and Wesley together at the Central Florida Fair on March 13, according to delegates in a WKMG. The two argued because Wesley had never told Wilcox about starting dating Triplett about a year earlier, officials said.

According to authorities, 10-hour surveillance video shows Wilcox entering Wesley’s home around 2 a.m. Tuesday, but never leaving. Several people tried to move his Honda Civic and had to start it with cables, officials said. It is believed that the car was then reversed to the front door, all lights in the house were turned off and a man was driving the vehicle away. Officials did not say who the driver was, but said Wesley was seen an hour later walking home, putting two large garbage bags in his car, driving away and then returning later. 15 minutes.

Investigators believe Wilcox may have been shot at the home, and his body was moved in the car. Authorities said they found bullet holes, remnants of blood and a 9mm shell shell while executing a search warrant.

Wilcox was found Friday. Officials said he was shot in the head and twice in the shoulder and neck area.

Officials said it was his mother who reported his car stolen. Authorities said she was aware of the dispute between her son and Wesley. According to deputies, she said Wilcox told her he would see another friend on the morning of March 15, but that friend said that evening Wilcox never showed up. She goes to Wesley, who is said to have said that Wilcox came to his house, got into another fight but left in his car. Wesley allegedly said he had to start Wilcox’s Civic because it ran out of battery.

Records do not show attorneys for Wesley or Triplett.
