Invited to pitch first at the Ole Miss baseball game, Lane Kiffin had a bit of fun trolling Tennessee Vols in the process.
Former Tennessee Volunteers head coach and current Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin appeared to be playing ball during Ole Miss-Tennessee’s baseball game.
Kiffin, who had just finished a 10-match season that ended with a game against the Sugar Bowl, had his chance to hit the field for the first time as the Rebels welcomed the Volunteers to Oxford. There was a bit of animosity between Ole Miss and Tennessee as when the Rebels team faced off against the Volunteers in Knoxville, fans threw some stuff onto the field.
Like mustard and at least a golf ball.
The whole ordeal was an absolute mess and should have been avoided. There is absolutely no reason to throw anything at players or coaches or referrals.
But now, a few months later, Kiffin has decided to have some fun with the matter.

Watch a video of Kiffin’s first pitch (or rather, his first pitches).
Unfortunately for the Rebels, Kiffin’s fun doesn’t really help the scoreboard much. The Vols are currently leading Ole Miss 11-0 in the seventh inning. Theoretically, there’s still a theoretical amount of time left for Ole Miss to get back into the game.
And hey, even if the Rebels can’t win, they can try again tomorrow.
