Lamar Jackson’s trade saga continues as teams vie for QB’s services while Ravens weighs options

The NFL world continues to buzz with excitement as Lamar Jackson’s trade saga continues, reporting multiple teams are vying for the star quarterback’s services as the Baltimore Ravens weigh their options.

Previously, Jackson was slapped with the $32.4 million non-exclusive tag during the offseason, which allowed him to have a say in trade talks. Jackson is now willing to discuss with other teams to finalize a suitable deal, and the Ravens can decide to match the deal to keep it or sell it to other teams.

Has Lamar Jackson hinted at moving to a new team?

Amid multiple trade rumors, the ace QB said it will air a special interview very soon, which will be featured on its Lamar Jackson Entertainment YouTube page.

One Twitter user predicted Jackson would announce a five-year contract extension in the comments, and the former MVP quarterback deflated the suspense by responding with a rocket ship emoji. The interview’s original release date is still unknown, but it will add fuel to the fire as Jackson may end up revealing some information about his contract. Many fans claim it is an indication of landing at a new destination.

The double threat quarterback has previously spoken out strongly about getting paid like a true star in the league. ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, Baltimore was only interested in a long-term extension, although Jackson wanted a fully guaranteed contract, prompting the franchise to opt for the non-exclusive tag.

Will Jackson end up with the Vikings or the Indianapolis Colts?

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler revealed the possibility of Jackson signing with the Titans on a recent episode of Sportscenter.

“And if you’re talking about good fits, I asked some executives in the league which teams would make sense. You mention Tennessee, which just cleared some cap space. They have a new GM Ran Carthon working on the roster. They could use a running quarterback [and] They have experience with this in the past,” said Fowler.

ESPN’s Stephen Holder ruled out the possibility of the Colts putting together a bid for Jackson.

“Indianapolis has not ruled out talks with Jackson, according to a team source. However, the club have not taken any significant steps regarding Jackson and it is unclear if they intend to do so. Team sources have expressed skepticism about Jackson’s pursuit,” he said.

As trade rumors continue to swirl, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see if the Ravens ultimately decide to part ways with their star quarterback or if Jackson ultimately stays with the franchise.
