Kyler Murray is back with Cardinals at OTAs after contract ugliness

Kyler Murray is present at the Arizona Cardinals team facility and OTAs are now back in session.

The ugliness surrounding Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals can be over and done with.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday afternoon that “Kyler Murray is back at her training facility and is expected to be on the practice field for the first time during her off-season program.”

Arizona resumes organized team activities on Wednesday.

Since this is Murray’s fourth year away from Oklahoma, you’d think he’d get an extension.

Arizona may have extended the fifth year option for 2023 to 2018 Heisman Trophy Winner. However, Murray would like to get paid the big bucks with a longer-term contract. Technically, he could use baseball as a bargaining chip, but no one in their right mind would believe he’s done driving buses in the US Oakland Athletics‘farm system. Even with some leverage, he could finally cooperate.

The best Murray can do is play at the Pro Bowl level again and lead the Cardinals to the NFC playoffs, possibly as a division winner. Although Arizona plays in the same NFC West as the defender super bowl Champions Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers could retire this season and the Seattle Seahawks are definitely rebuilding. Also, Super Bowl 57 will be held in Glendale.

The last two Super Bowl champions have won it at their stadium. Even though the Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers acquired formidable quarterbacks in the offseason before their championship titles, something has to give way in this scenario, right? Will it be a third straight home champion, or a team that picked up a better quarterback like the Denver Broncos or Indianapolis Colts just did?

The only way Arizona gets to the promised land is if Murray can build his breakout season. Kyler Murray is back with Cardinals at OTAs after contract ugliness
