Rockies signing Kris Bryant for seven years doesn’t make any sense
This kind of reaction from baseball team executives is not a surprise. Since the time this deal was reported, Twitter has gone wild with some priceless reactions. Bryant has a great glove and cane, but surely Colorado could have tried to sign him to a more affordable deal.
Bryant just turned 30, so he still has a lot of great baseball ahead of him. As for the Rockies, however, they’ve struggled a lot in the NL West in recent years, and they need more than Bryant to make a splash for the league in the near future.
There’s no way Colorado will be able to be near the Dodgers any time soon. Los Angeles can completely strengthen the squad with the addition of Freddie Freeman. When things settle, the Dodgers are the favorites to win the World Series this upcoming season.
As for the Rockies, they’ll need a bit of luck to make it to the knockout stages in 2022. The signing of Bryant is exciting for future fans, but it doesn’t make any sense. from a financial point of view. People will question this decision from the Colorado government office for quite some time.
