Kozzy Pickett bump video: Melbourne star in hot water for ugly bump on Western Bulldogs gun Bailey Smith

Melbourne rising star Kysaiah Pickett has been charged with an ugly dent on Western Bulldogs gun Bailey Smith.
During the second quarter of Saturday night’s blockbuster AFL duel, Pickett started with a big hit in Smith after the Bulldogs superstar kicked the ball forward.

Pickett was late and caught up Smith with a brutal shot that will be checked by the Match Review Officer.
Smith was remarkably able to get back to his feet immediately, which may help Pickett assess the incident.
“Well he’s very lucky that Bailey Smith got right back up but it’s not an action we like in the game,” Brownlow medalist Jobe Watson said on Channel 7.
Bulldogs players rushed in to demonstrate at Pickett’s after the incident and the young Demon may have another case to answer, with photographers capturing what looked like another high hit – this time against Jackson Macrae.
The incident comes as the AFL faces a landmark class action lawsuit over the severe damage concussion caused to former players.
On Tuesday, Margalit Injury Lawyers filed a class action lawsuit in the Victorian Supreme Court on behalf of more than 60 former AFL players.
But a second class action lawsuit could involve more than 200 players.
Pickett ended up being the most influential player on the spot with four goals and a series of revealing touches in the 50-point win.
Ben Brown also kicked four as the Demons showed they will be a force to be reckoned with this season.
Usual suspects Clayton Oliver and Christian Petracca were prominent, while star jerk duo Max Gawn and Brodie Grundy got off to a perfect start.
Gawn was everywhere, scoring two goals while Grundy added one and gradually worked his way into the competition.
In contrast, the Dogs’ much-vaunted four-pronged big attack failed despite the absence of Dee’s star defender Steven May.
Aaron Naughton (1,2) and Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (1,3) failed to capitalize on their chances in front of goal, while inexperienced Sam Darcy and newcomer Rory Lobb had little impact.
But it was in midfield where the Bulldogs were overwhelmed by their opponents, though Jack Macrae (33 dismounts), Adam Treloar (32) and Tom Liberatore (32) all had plenty of ball wins.
