Kofi Kingston hopes to face Mustafa Ali at WrestleMania 37 before then WWE the bosses planned a ‘perfect’ match.

‘I was told a few things, and we started working on the things we were told, and then suddenly it wasn’t those things. But that’s really kind of the standard fare for us,’ he admitted.

He praised how Ali will use his initiative to create his own video packages to enhance his personality on the social network, especially popular in his RETRIBUTION run.

“He wasn’t asked to do it, it was just that he was taking advantage or trying to make the most of what was given to him,” he added.

‘I enjoyed getting in there and mingling with him. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do so, but again things change, and that is the nature of the monster.

‘Not to say I’m not upset about it, but I’m really not surprised they’ve changed.’

Ali also talked to us about the upcoming match last year, and admitted that he was baffled that the feud wasn’t meaningfully explored on screen.
