Jurgen Klopp spoke to the media ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Leicester City and provided updates on COVID cases in the team.
Our boss confirmed the current condition of Fabinho, Virgil van Dijk, Curtis Jones and Thiago Alcantara, and provided news of three new cases that have been recorded.
German says: “Yes, the boys in quarantine, or with COVID, have come back, which means Fab, Virgil, Curtis and Thiago.
“Thiago was the latest, yesterday he came back and trained for the first time with the team.
“We have a young player who is currently isolated and two staff members. It’s really tough, every morning when you enter it’s a bit like a lottery.
“You hope it’s all right and then a case… that’s the situation, but other than that we’re fine.”
It’s great that the members of the first team are back in full strength and health and we can go into the match against Brendan Rodgers’ side without a positive case (at least for now! ).
The health clean bill pass finger continues and we may resume playing all of our scheduled fixtures for the foreseeable future.
