Kim Kardashian’s Parisian robber says she ‘wasted money’ by flaunting her wealth online

One of the 12 men involved in Kim Kardashian’s 2016 Paris robbery said the reality star “wasted money” by flaunting her riches online.

Yunis Abbas has been sentenced to 22 months in prison for his involvement in the crime in which Kardashian was tied up and held at gunpoint at the Hotel De Pourtales during Paris Fashion Week.

Around $10 million worth of jewelry was stolen during the robbery, including the 20-carat diamond engagement ring that Kanye West gave her, which is estimated at $4 million alone.

Abbas has now given an interview to VICE News in which she said Kardashian practically alerted criminals to her whereabouts and the wealth she was traveling with.

“Since she threw money away, I was there to collect it and that was it,” he said.

“Guilty? No, I don’t care, I don’t care.”

He went on to say that he’s seen Kardashian flaunt her expensive jewelry on social media.

“I went on the internet and it’s true, I saw her jewelry, I saw her ring, I saw her showing it everywhere and we knew that information through social media.

“I saw one of her shows where she threw her diamond in the pool on this episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

“I thought, ‘She has a lot of money. This lady doesn’t give a damn’.”

He also said the Kardashians should be “less conspicuous to people who can’t afford it.”

“It’s provocative for some people,” he added.

Abbas said he stayed downstairs at the hotel to keep watch while his accomplices tied up Kardashian in the hotel bathroom.

“Madame Kardashian’s secretary called for help. But she called 911 in the United States, which scared us, which wasted a lot of time,” he said.

“When we got out there was a bunch of cops outside who didn’t know about the robbery.”

After the incident, Kardashian said she hired additional bodyguards and no longer keeps money or jewelry in her home.

“I can’t sleep if I have jewelry in my safe or money or anything in my house,” she said during an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

“As for jewelry, if I wear something, it’s borrowed (or) it’s fake.

“The things I valued before were really completely different than what I value now.

“It’s fun getting dressed and all that, but things like that don’t really define me.”

Although Abbas said he didn’t care what happened during the robbery, Abbas admitted in his VICE interview that Kardashian was “traumatized.”

“You’re not getting off scot-free,” he said.

“Of course she must have been traumatized.”
