The game of cat and mouse is about to end.
BBC America has released the official trailer for the fourth season of “New Year’s Eve Killing. The spy thriller will return for its final season on February 27.
The stars of “Killing Eve” Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri, an MI5 analyst who is recruited by MI6 head Carolyn Martens (Fiona Shaw) to track down an international assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer) and her manager Konstantin Vasiliev (Kim Bodnia). But when Eve and Villanelle develop an obsession with each other, their quest quickly spirals out of control.
In the new trailer, Villanelle is undergoing therapy to try to restore her humanity, while Carolyn gives Eve a new mission, sending them into a collision to face each other again.
“If you really changed, you wouldn’t be here,” Eve told Villanelle during a tense meeting. “If you changed, you didn’t lead me,” Villanelle replied.
Every season of “Killing Eve” has a new lead writer. For the upcoming season, Laura Neal (“Sex Education”) leads the writing team, following Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Emerald Fennell and Suzanne Heathcote. Neal is also an executive producer for the season, along with Oh, Waller-Bridge, Sally Woodward Gentle, Lee Morris, Gina Mingacci, and Damon Thomas.
The fourth season of “Killing Eve” will premiere simultaneously on BBC America and AMC Plus. After the premiere, AMC Plus subscribers will be able to watch the episodes linearly one week before the premiere, with the exception of the concurrently airing finale. AMC will also air an encore presentation of the show every Monday, starting February 28.
