If your summer plans include a trip to the sea, you may appreciate the cool water and the opportunity to ride the waves on your bodyboard. But as you know, the sea offers much more. The vast waters are home to an estimated 700,000 species, many of which have yet to be discovered. The sea helps the environment. It enables the transportation of people and things around the planet. It provides food, recreation, jobs, and even medicine.
